How it works
Professional coaching focuses on setting goals, creating outcomes and managing personal change. Coaching, supports personal and professional growth based on self-initiated change in pursuit of specific actionable outcomes linked to personal or professional success. Coaching is future focused and the primary focus is on creating actionable strategies for achieving specific goals in one’s work or personal life. The emphasis in a coaching relationship is on action, accountability and follow-through. In coaching, the assumption made is that individuals or teams are capable of generating their own solutions, with the coach supplying supportive, discovery based approaches and frameworks. The coaching process does not include advising or counselling, and focuses instead on individuals or groups setting and reaching their own objectives as set by the individual or the team being coached. Professional coaching does not focus on behaviours that are being executed poorly or incorrectly, instead, the focus is on identifying opportunity for development based on individual strengths and capabilities.
NLP in Coaching
Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) is the practice of understanding how people organise their thinking, feeling , language and behaviour to produce the results they do. NLP provides people with a methodology to model outstanding performances achieved by geniuses and leaders in their field. People live with the identity or belief in their world that their words describe their reality.
